My name is Amelia, it’s 2018, and this is my first blog post. That makes me around five years late to the blogging party (which feels accurate as I am notoriously bad at partying), but now that I am here, I’m faced with some questions. Like, do people even read blogs anymore? Will anyone actually find this blog since I’ve given it the worlds longest title that seemingly has nothing to do with the content? And even more importantly, does anyone want to read my thoughts on the latest tv shows, movies, and other watchable stuff? Surveys and eight-balls across the land say “no” but let’s push on and find out together!

So what makes me qualified for this endeavor? Well, I have A) a lot of time and B) a deeply profound love for what my mother has lovingly termed “garbage tv”. I have seen almost every episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Housewives of New York City, and Sister Wives, which I am choosing to believe shows stamina and perseverance instead of some likely pathological problems. If reality tv is not for you do not despair, I will also be blogging about scripted shows ranging from This Is Us to Game of Thrones and Big Little Lies (Meryl Streep is joining season 2!). What about major live events that don’t fit into either of those categories? As if I’d miss out on the Olympics and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

My plan is to either live-blog or recap programming with blog posts going up on the evening of, or day after they air. There will be spoilers but I pinky promise to remind you of that. But don’t hold me to it.
